Berlin, Germany in 2015 – St. Mary’s Church
In 2015 a remarkable situation occurred – both choral groups I belonged to were having concert tours of Europe the same summer, and I participated in both of them. I ended up spending 42 days in Europe, by adding other activities to the 2 tours. The final concert tour ended with an extension in Berlin, Germany, and while the rest of the group went on a walking tour around the Alexanderplatz, I concentrated on a gentle walk in that area. Adjacent to the Alexanderplatz was this lovely church, and I was able to photograph it both inside and outside. These are my photographs of St. Mary’s Church.

Absolutely beautiful. Sir Berlin is a beautiful city with so much to offer. Alexanderplatz is located in the former Eastern sector which was controlled by the Soviets.After the fall of the wall the Eastern sector has been restored to the beauty it is today.I was stationed in Berlin with the US Army when the wall went up and I have a love for the city that will live forever.I have been back 3 times and would go again if my health were better,I am happy you made the trip.
