If there was any chromatic aberration with this one, how would you know?

Since this plant is mostly pink and purple and the petals have a dark pink outline anyway, how could one tell if there was any red or purple fringing?

This is a great flower for the novice like me.

Wandering Jew.

GORGEOUS!! And even on some where there supposedly is some chromatic aberration, it just becomes another aspect of the photo, and on some it detracts. However, in your case IF there is any (I can't detect any), it is just part of the beauty of the overall pic!!

Looks good to me. I love all the different shades of purple in the flower and its surroundings. The pop of yellow shows off the flower so nicely...Jan

Seriously, start looking at some posts and look for red or blue (sometimes green) outlines in high contrast photos. Even the best of lenses have this some times. Look for it on white shirts or automobiles with lots of chrome on a sunny day.

Thanks, Jan. They are so tiny. Smaller than a dime.

Usually you'll see it on edges, especially where there is a dark object against a light background. It's pretty distinct, and you'll know it when you see it.

Beautiful floral rendition. Like Warhawk said it would be hard to tell if there is any and if so it just adds to the beauty of the shot. I don't think all abnormalities are necessarily a bad thing.........

Oh, boy do I know it! I had a lens that was so bad that I wanted to throw it at a wall. Fortunately for me, I fell down some stairs(if you call that fortunate) with camera in hand and that stupid lens attached. The camera took a hard hit and the lens would not come off and it was broken also. It was a Sony 75-300 El Cheapo zoom. I have an extended warranty so I sent it in. Not only did Sony repair the lens, they fixed it too. They even sent both units back to the factory and calibrated the lens to the camera. Now it is one of the best lenses in my stable.

I am a stickler for such things. Drives me up a wall. Lol. This is why I was joking that these blooms have a natural fringing about them so we can get away with things once in a while.
