My "Fall Colors"

Here in the Lowcountry of South Carolina, my home is about 5 miles from the Atlantic Ocean as the "Crow Flies." We do have trees that turn nice colors in the Fall but they are side by side in the very flat Lowcountry. Our tallest points around here are the tops of our bridges! Thus, trees are viewed individually and not on the side of a hill or mountain. My "Fall Colors" are due to the many Encore Azaleas in my yard. The Encore Azalea is so named because they bloom 3 or 4 times during the year. Right now they are approaching about 1/4 to full bloom. Earlier this week the butterflies arrived in droves. Attached are 6 photos ranging from a row of 3 Encores beginning to bloom to butterflies on the blooms. These were taken hand held due to the very fleeting nature of the butterfly. As always, comments are welcome.

Very nice. We were on the coast last week and saw a lot of stuff still blooming. We live in upstate SC (Greenville) and come down about every 5th week to a condo we jointly own. Love the ocean.
