Someone appears to have had nothing better to do on my hiking trail.
The first was there when I walked in one direction. The second miraculously appeared on my way back. . . . hmmm . . . spooky
Good idea and excellent capture of rock made direction. Where did you go for hiking? What equipment and camera should I carry for that?

These would have been more effective compositions if shot at a lower angle, either level with the middle rocks or even lower with a slight up angle.
Someone is really good at rock balancing! Nice crisp images - I like the background colours, but find the background in #2 is fighting for attention. Thanks for sharing - stay well and keep on shooting.

Thanks for your observation. I appreciate these kinds of suggestions.
I absolutely agree with your comment on what would have been a better angle to use, for it could have improved the overall appearance of the images. Believe it or not, I did try to go as low as I could with my bad back, aggravated by a bad fall just days before. But I hope it was still worth the effort.
Thanks again . . .

Nice images!!!!
I used to do that with landscaping Stones when I worked for a landscaping company, it really messed with the crews when they arrived the next morning, But I was never anywhere near that good!!!!

Thanks for your interest.
I am not suggesting any kind of equipment for something like that. What I had with me was the Nikon D850 and a 28-300mm lens. This hiking trail was along lake Ontario (Canada) on one side, and Cranberry Marsh on the other - a very productive area for photography.
By the way, more rock balancing activity can regularly be seen there.
Cairns are so nice. These are awesome.
Hmmm...did you hear a strange humming noise on your walk?
