In an unprecedented move, the New England Journal of Medicine on Wednesday published an editorial written by its editors condemning the Trump administration for its response to the C****-** p******c -- and calling for the current leadership in the United States to be v**ed out of office.

They certainly are entitled to any political opinion. But it doesn't belong in a vvery prestigious medical journal. They should stick to medicine.

They've been sticking to medicine for 208 years, so that tells you how seriously they feel the situation is. It seems to me to be less a political opinion than a public health one.

Private funding, medical personnel subscriptions. What, if they were funded with public funds, you would have their budget cut? A swing and a miss.

You can try to dismiss it like that but it really is a medical issue. A continuation of his administration will cause further damage because his inept handling of the p******c..

This is a first for the the New England Journal of Medicine has been continuously published for over 200 years. Doesn't that tell you trump is a danger to the American healthcare system.

I'm not dismissing anything. I was replying to someone who said a medical journal shouldn't have political opinions, and I'm glad they did. I think you have misunderstood me, as I have felt all along that Trump has totally failed at leadership on the p******c.

My apologies John, it is clear that I did misunderstand. Thanks for clarifying it for me. I've looked back, my response should have been to Bobdrick and he was pretty reasonable but I thought he was missing the huge significance of it.
