Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada – Part 4a, St. Paul’s Anglican Church

In the summer of 2013 I embarked on a set of railroad journeys that culminated in a few days in Halifax, Nova Scotia. One of those days was a Sunday, and I attended services in the old St. Paul’s Church (the oldest Protestant place of worship in Canada). These are my photos of that lovely church. (Too many photos for one set, so in 2 pieces. Part 4a – this one -- is of the exterior and general interior; Part 4b is of just the gorgeous stained glass windows.)

There was a time when painting organ pipes with decorative motifs was the rage. I've even seen gilded pipes.
