This covered bridge is located off of Bear Creek Rd. (from Hwy. 18), northeast of Lincoln City, OR. The cornerstone there reads: "This covered bridge, located in Oregon, was originally located over a different section of Drift Creek in 1914. It was demolished in 1997 and reconstructed on its current site in 2001. Dedicated to the pioneers of Lincoln County, Oregon by Laura and Kerry Sweitz who rescued the parts and pieces when the original bridge was demolished and with the aid of many volunteers and superindendents rebuilt the bridge on the current part of their property, which is available to the public for their enjoyment."
Very cool that they preserved history and nice shots to help the story.
God bless them for saving history. And willing to share it.
Love how the colours punch after some rain. Nicely done. Please stay well and keep on sharing.
