I didn't know Eskimo was derogatory. Who decides these things?

From Fox News
“We are committed to being a part of the solution on racial e******y, and recognize the term is derogatory,” said Elizabell Marquez, head of marketing for its parent Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, the U.S. subsidiary for Froneri, in a statement to FOX Business in June. “This move is part of a larger review to ensure our company and brands reflect our people values.”

Thank you. Next thing you know someone will be offended by the region of New Hampshire called the White Mountains.

I do NOT like PC.

I've been called a Honky before. It didn't offend me.

Everyone be sure you keep your GPS's updated because I'm sure every street in every town in America named Jackson, Washington, Jefferson and many others will eventually be renamed. In my opinion political correctness is going way too far. What's in a name?

PC originally was supposed to be a way to encourage civility.
It’s now a powerful political weapon and has turned many into a bunch of neurotics.

People who are afraid of offending anyone.
People who want to get on the band wagon.

It might have if you had been oppressed all your life. I recently was on the North Slope of Alaska and in the Canadian Arctic filming a documentary. The Inuit there are extremely poor and do not have, in their own native land, the benefits that accrue to the white settlers. It's easy to be tolerant as long as you are in a privileged position...
