YouTube's algorithm threw this at me last night. It's a 4 minute bit of a decades old ('75) interview but it could be contemporary.

The sound on the reference video was iffy, but growing up with J Wayne movies, he wore white hats and was pure of thought. Regardless of the movie or his name in the movie, he was always John Wayne and we knew what he was going to do.

In the movies concrete vs abstract actors: Wayne played Wayne over and over again as tho fixed in/as "Concrete;" Johnny Depp has played good and evil rolls and shows versatility in the "Abstract".

My neighbor, Ray, is a Trumpite he is fixed on the greatness of Trump and it is a waste of time to suggest otherwise; do not confuse him with the facts. He has earplugs and dark glasses, unable to see or hear taht which does not reinforce his Trumpreligious belief, both are H**X filters; sorry that was an abstract statement.

In photography, the SOOC [streight out of camera] people dare not change the photo nor add an 11th commandment to the Bible. Then there are the Abstract people like me who say "No Good Photo Shall Go Unmolested;" the color is to be boosted, crop and straighten, blue background; the SOOC is the starting canvas.

There are hybrids, who are in the Attic, politically concrete, yet their photos are marvelous works of abstract art.

"For example, a concrete thinker would look at a green tree and say that it is a green tree. Likewise, when an abstract thinker looks at the same tree, his/her thought process would be entirely different. The green tree may spark a chain of thoughts in an abstract thinker, and he may start imagining all things related to green and tree. He might relate green to peace and green tree would relate to bounty and productivity. In this manner, he might go on relating to further objects or events."

John Wayne was a lot like trump. They both avoided going into the service by manufacturing physical deferments. Trump with his infamous bone spurs and Wayne with a shoulder injury. Noted that John Wayne was a stuntman in the movies and that, "shoulder injury", never interfered with that work at all.
The other way he's a lot like Trump is that both he and Fat Donny both preach patriotism while not being patriots in their own lives.

It’s only contemporary if you live in the past. The youth will determine the future of mankind.

Hey, Fwankie, why don't you GFY. No, better yet, FOAD. Your TDS and your constant whining and sniveling is tiresome. I thought about adding some verbiage to the OP about who would be first to say something stupid but thought that might too confrontive. I knew you'd come through...

You'd b***h if you were hung with a new rope.

WhileI am a Trump supporter, he is far from perfect. And what scares me most about the e******n is a Biden win and a totally democrat congress. 1 party rule, and a VERY liberal/progressive party. That party is , according to it's platform. very close to a socialist party. The damage to the country that they have advocated, may never be rectified. Your grandchildren may live in a radically different country than the one we know. Yes there are some changes that need to happen, but not radical ones. THe country is pretty damned good. It has rought more wealth to more o it's people than any other country in history. That's why so many risk everything to come here. Can you name any other country that has 20 million i******s living in it. NO. So all you people who want radical changes go to a purely socialist country, with a socialist economy (other than free market) or shut the hell up.

With the mentality of the young and old mainly the left, the future looks too much like a chit hole
