We've been having chilly nights around here lately, about 45 degrees, and that seems to slow them down somewhat. Gives them some time to expand their diameter maybe? Who knows? It's all good that they're still hanging around for now.
I've noticed the same thing with hibiscus, Tom. The hotter the temps the smaller the bloom, and when the temps are cooler, the blooms stay on the plant longer than they do otherwise.
