On the subject of time, this is a photo montage that I put together for a photography class a couple of years ago. It contains a picture of the early morning surf at Myrtle Beach SC, my 100 year old pocket watch hanging in the dark with a light on it, a macro of the inside of the watch and my wife's eyes blended into the background. The quote came from the 2002 movie, The Time Machine and was said to originate with H.G Wells. Maybe it did and maybe it didn't, who knows?

Lovely and creative image.

p2. I love this, Fred Ann, as well as the story that goes with it. Your grandson is just a few months older than our oldest - he was 15 in May

Thank you , Pat . We also have a 15 year old grandson who was 15 last March,closer in age to your grandson than our David Harvest.

Good timing (if you'l pardon the pun).

The below arrived from France where it's put together
(with a Japanese 28,800 bph mechanical auto movement),
at my place yesterday, and I was compelled to photograph it.

Warm regards,

Alan.

Nice Shot Alan..pg. 2

Old and newer... the first two are family watches that go back decades. The locket is my paternal grandparents and the watch to the left was Grandpa's watch. The others are all watches that belonged to my grandparents or other. Lower right lis a fold up compass and magnifier which would have been worn on a chain around a woman's neck. I'm not sure why one would need a compass, but.. They are all perched on some antique books. #2 is same thing, just processed differently.

I prefer the second edit on these Heirlooms Gives it a vintage feel.pg. 3

Thanks Pat, I was wearing it and enjoying it earlier today.

At school, in the dark room, I dropped the clock-work timer, and it stopped working.

Being about as far as one could get from being the teachers pet long before;
I proclaimed, "I'll fix it!", to avoid dark sarcasm and harsh discipline from that lecturer.

So the below turned out to be some home work.

Nice shot of the parts..Good luck with your homework.
