These Osprey were completely unfazed by nesting on a drawbridge over the Intracoastal in Nokomis, Fl. The nest had three babies but only two showing here.
Some of their choices of nest location is absolutely mind-blowing. We have one in town on top of one of the stadium type lights in a school yard. That nest has been there for years and gets bigger and bigger. There's another one smack dab on top of an old Exxon sign. That nest is pretty scrawny looking and is on the main road into town - high traffic area during tourist season. Then there are the two atop light posts going into the Lewes, Delaware Ferry dock. Those have been active for a very long time.
