BigD Loc: The LEFT Coast

Here are a few images from an event I covered last Saturday. It was a publicity venue for Sony to introduce their new action cameras that are designed to go head to head with the likes of the "Go Pro" units. They setup these huge ramps right on Venice Beach in California (remember the Dog Town Boys started in Venice Beach) and invited the top riders for a competition. It was really fun to watch these kids do some crazy stuff thirty feet in the air. It was also fun shooting it because the sun was virtually directly above the subjects making it tough to get anything but a shadow.

This kid seemed to defy gravity and hang in the air forever




This kid is considered one of the best Skaters in the world, and he is 11 years old!!!!

Looks like us hogs are going to have to teach you how to hold your camera right. Looks like you're holding it upside down on a couple of these. LOL. Good action shots! Amazing what these kids can do.
