I have purchased most of the Good stuff used. D800, D850(best deal) Nikon 300mm F4(with the filter) and SB910 and 5000. Tamron 150-600G2 and 70-200G2(worst deal). I have tested everything at Starbucks while making the deal. Never had a problem. I don’t do this for a living so this is fun money couldn’t justify 1300 for the 150-600 Tamron but 800 was ok. The lens is great. This process is about the money. If you are willing to gamble (for me about 600 with sales tax) then understand that is what you are doing and make a decision based on that. Happy shooting what ever you decide.

Shortly after getting a new Nikon D7200 in 2016, I bought a used (rated 9/10) Nikkor 2.8 70-200m lens from B & H Photo. Have had zero problems with it. Two years ago, happened upon a used Nikon D700 body w/battery pack which had like 400 actuations on it. The seller had purchased it, but thought it to be too heavy, and it sat on the shelf for 6 years. It barely had any fingerprints on it. Nothing wrong with buying used.
