[quote=PAToGraphy]Thank you , Bob, AKA Transbuff, for hosting many pages of "S"es. Some pretty clever images posted.
From "S" to "RuSt" - rust is memories of past, signs of neglect and can be downright beautiful. Anxious to see your rust.
Like many places, some Maine folks will drive their vehicles "into the ground" and just leave them there where they become "Yard Art" - eventually. Show your rust shamelessly, share an associated memory. I'm starting with a huge dumptruck. It's been on a corner for ages so I stopped and got permission to photograph it. Glad I did - a week later it was Sorry I'm a bit late

Here's what happens when you can't outrun the lava. Big Island of Hawai'i. And an abstract of abandoned wire

Like them both. So awful, the car. I hope the occupants had left long before. And I love abstracts. It turned out very well.

Love that fist shot "Lava & Car". Great use of HDR makes it really dramatic.
Here's some rust I never encountered. Pacific Red Octopus lay their eggs under rocks, pieces of shipwrecks or anything they can find that will protect the eggs from predators. I was diving an old landing craft yesterday. The wreck has deteriorated and collapsed over the past few years into a pile of rust with a few iron clumps sticking out. I found a nest under one piece of rusty metal. The eggs, normally bright white were orange.
