Yes, I think I will do many of the things you suggest. I have severe arthritis with no possibility of knee replacements or ankle surgeries because of my heart condition so tramping through fields or over these deadly frost heaved sidewalks which apparently seldom get shovelled is not an option so macros and close-ups will probably be what I can manage most often. And with an internet connection the time will pass.
The last two winters, (during the first I was so traumatised by the snow and cold I hardly left the house but got braver last winter and who knows about the future) what saved me from insanity was a Ring Necked Pheasant that made my new yard his home. Guess I should post some photos I took of him (through the window so dusty but hey . . . even without the -20C keeping me inside, he seemed very skittish and I am told that is normal for pheasants).

PC- I hear you- I have had Rheumatoid arthritis for ever, and now having fractured my pelvis with a fall not long ago am facing the cold Syracuse winter ahead, though maybe not as bad a Moncton, serious enough.
I haven't even had the motivation to get my camera out and take some shots of the changing fall foliage. I will need an attitude restructuring. Sorry to hear about the not so hot Lobsters!!!! Cook them yourself- the only way to go..

I'm sorry to hear about your pain and esp the fracture. It certainly is difficult to concentrate on photos or anything else when you have constant pain. With an already impaired ability to walk, the idea of ice and falling is certainly terrifying. Hospitals were never welcoming places but nowadays, with Covid rampant esp in hospitals . . . scary indeed. I hope the bones can knit (if you are of an age where they still will do that) and that the pain will ease.

Actually, the bone growth was positive, and the Pelvis healed in 6 weeks--not bad for for an 83 old- but still have the "other" pain to deal with/
the everyday Arthritis which doesn't go away- so, I am sympathetic, to you. I also have a heart condition- A-Fib, and
'a great cardiologist who keeps me going...and like you, the internet keeps me busy, and connected.

Stuck in Moncton a few days a few years ago while one of your local experts fixed my cross-Canada truck. Nary a burp after that. Good folks even though I was a first class freak back then.
