Several years ago while in San Francisco, I was standing on the back deck of a cable car at Fisherman's Wharf. Sitting on the round-about behind me waiting its turn to leave was Cable Car No. 1. Standing next to car was the Brakeman. He spent the entire 10 minutes polishing "his" Car No. 1 while I was waiting for my car to leave. This is one of my favorite San Francisco photographs. As always, comments are welcome.

I spent most of my young life in the Bay Area but didn't ride a cable car until I was 28 years old. Beautiful capture of a San Francisco treasure and thanks for the memory

Very nice! I particularly like the setting with that pretty scene in the background.
