I just cannot find a way to show you how clean and the excellent condition this camera is so am posting this second addition since the first one sold quickly to a member here.
He is very happy with the one he received.
The price is honorable and fare.
Ok Hoggers and Hoggettes; You film guys and gals, this is your lucky day. I am selling off my last film baby, Canon G-III QL17's. It is honestly like new and VERY low film mileage.
Both Freshly CLA'd at Garland Camera, Garland Texas.
It was good to go already but still to assure any potential buyer, I had it serviced anyway. I do not have a light system to show you the very clean details..so I did the best I could shooting these pictures outside.
To those of you who know this model you know the details. These are considered the 'poor mans Leica' because of the very sharp and high quality lens.
At my age my poor tired eyes just cannot focus good enough through the view finder to capture what I want to.
These are damn good image cameras. Just Goggle the comparisons to the Leica’s.
The light meter was adjusted and tested for the 1.5V alkaline batteries used today. Part of the CLA process.
New light seals installed as part of the CLA process.
New battery.
Film tested with ASA 200, 400, and 800.
NO flaws in the lens and view finder, like NEW.
240.00 US American bucks. I will pay the shipping in the Cont. US. USPS priority unless you have a preference.
So hurry up and beat the crowds Hoggers, you get first shot at this really nice camera. As you can see, this is NOT a cheap plastic device. It is a Solid built device that will last you a lifetime.

Interesting ..the same model camera is listed on Facebook here in Raleigh ...I know not the same one you have but the same model. I haven't seen that model camera in about 25 years or more. I am tempted ...especially since you had it CLA'd. Are you firm on the price?
Thanks in advance

Thank you for your interest.
My name is Bruce. I bought two of these cameras around 2000 or so because they are so good. I loved the first one so I got another one. If you know this camera, it is a tank, You can pound and drive nails all day and build something then load some film and take some pictures of your project. They just do not make cameras like this anymore. Yes I had it CLA'd even though it worked fine. I am a stickler on this of stuff including my cars.
I can half-ass get some good shot nut depending on the light outside, my vision is impaired. The DSLR I use has a diopler on the view finder which makes my shots so much accurate. I have seen this model online from nothing to over 400 bucks. The tech at the camera shop told me this model is getting to be popular mostly with the younger crowd. I am not making any money of this camera. I just would like it to have a good home an be used, it really is a great buy for the price. This is a Range finder camera and I will put up against any Leica that wants to stand next to me. My vision holds be back but I can get about 80 percent accurate shots.
It has a new battery and still has a roll of 400 am using. My price is firm because I package carefully and pay the postage. This baby just needs a good loving home.
Thank you again for your reply.

when you had it CLA's did the tech adjust the meter for the difference in voltage from the old original battery type to the new 1.5 volt battery that has been used in replacement?

Yes he did. I tested it and it works perfectly. This is an standard process they do. He told they calibrate and test the meter meter. Even before I

I am the buyer of the first G-III QL17 when Bruce first listed them on UHH. I can confirm to you the camera I bought is everything he says it is and then some. It looks as though it just came off the shelf at the camera store and works perfectly. I see no reason to think this one isn't just as nice. If you appreciate film cameras this is one to own and in my opinion worth every penny.

The Canon QL film load system, on this camera, was the very best.

My favorite uncle lived in Garland. That's a really nice camera. It looks like it is brand new out of the box one day in the 1980's not here today in 2020. Congratulations to whoever gets it.

Thank you , I agree. I loved this camera so much I got another one. I also had a Nikon N80 which I still have but it is useless because the rear film cover door latches broke off. Yea they are plastic. This Canon is metal. It is really built like a tank.

Thank you, I have an Uncle who lives in Garland too. Garland Camera is where I had the Canons CLA'd at. They are 'The Camera shop and store' recommended by the other shops in the Dallas area for service and film processing. Yea, they can have you film ready in an hour or so. This is where I took the film I shot with the Canons. They do the best service especially for film cameras.

Thank you, yes this camera is identical to the one you got. I cannot remember which one I got first but I liked it so much I very soon got another one. Both came from camera stores and were as new condition and still are. I had a Nikon N80 also with couple of lenses. These is NO comparison in build quality of the Nikon to the these Canons. Stuff is just not built this good anymore and this is a shame too.

Yes, the original mercury battery was 1.3 volt. The newer alcalines are 1.5v. Not much difference and this did not effect the meters accuracy at all. However, the meter being calibrated, checked and adjusted regardless is part of the CLA process. The only thing us Canon G-III owners notice is that most of us add a little shim to help the new batteries seat securely. Some use a small very thin washer, I just use a piece of aluminum foil, this works good too. I have a picture of the receipt from Garland camera for them both.
