I like your view and lighting!!!
What's the story on getting in?
I think this house was featured years ago on HGTV.

He built this house by himself. I took a location class to the lake and took them up to this house. It's all iron. He's been working on it for 21+ years. This day he just happened to be doing some work there and invited us in to take some photos.
You're right. It was featured on Texas Country Reporter as well as other programs. If you google Iron House Lake Ransom Canyon you'll find links to it.
Unfortunatly he died just a few months after moving into the house.
As far as the shot goes...It was natural light no flash. He took a call on his cell phone and struck the pose naturally. Luckily for me, he was standing in the light that you see here.

If you're ever in this part of the country, be sure to go see it. It's really photogenic. From different angles it can look like a camera, a dog or a flying saucer.

That he passed away...
In the show a long time ago, He had his "crane(s)" and other gizmo's that he built to handle the pieces of steel.
I couldn't remember what happened to him. There was a follow up show and his daughter was living in the house at that time. Don't know if she still lives there or not.
Thanks, Al
