AI - As is everything - Is what you make of it. No more than another tool in the toolbox.
When I started my engineering career in the 50s calculations were by hand, mechanical calculator and slide rule. Then wow the first electronic calculators came out and that was a quantum jump in efficiency. A few years later computers changed everything again. Now PCs rule and calculations are faster and more accurate than ever.
At each of these changes there were many who yelled the sky is falling in! It isn't - in the end it how we use the tool and the results we get. The only certainty in any technology is change!
