Kinda glad the Sony beats the iPhone 10... The first iPhone shot is pretty darn good - might be a tad overexposed, but most wouldn't notice. There have been some really astounding cellphone shots put on the Hog in the past while - maybe we should suggest a forum just for cellphones? My new one has a 64Mp camera (although so far can only get dng files out of it if I switch it to the 16Mp mode). I know that more pixels isn't everything, but it can take reasonable photos and sometimes the phone is the only thing that is handy.
Stay well, keep on shooting and posting!

This confirmed that the iPhone is great for a quick snap and is very easy to use. However, for DoF and enough pixels to get a really sharp capture, the camera is best.

These are beautiful, Mike. I love the bees and the color of the flowers.

Thanks, Carol, that did work out well. The setting sun was the icing on the cake.

On a recent evening when I took flowers shots of my wife's flowers, I used my iPhone and then brought my camera out. In both cases, I shot bees at work before the sun set. The attached photos includes both camera and iPhone captures.

Thanks, MT. This year we had much better luck with the bees and our flowers. Next year we are adding butterfly bushes.

To bee or not to bee, that is the question - but in answer I would have to say that in all cases I see only one bee .... glad you gave us the hint a bit further down - and now in hindsight, I can definitely say that the camera still has an edge - but those cellphone cameras are getting might good in good conditions ....
Thanks for letting us in to the bee question Mike!

👍 Very good pictures. I hate the Fall season and its promise to kill most of my insect friends. But one nice thing are the purple asters and the bees they bring in.
