Beavertail State park is one of the most beautiful locations in RI and I am fortunate to live close by. I have taken so many pictures here but today I decided to try something a little different. Using two stacked ND filters (10 and 4 stops) I was able to expose for 300 sec and achieve the smooth milky surf that I was looking for. This was my first try at this.

Wonderful shot. Normally I don't like long exposure shots but this is exceptional. You need to find a wall for it.

"I must go down to the sea again..." You sure are "fortunate to live so close by". Nice image.

Know the spot well having been there many times. It and your photo are gorgeous. My wife was there on Tuesday watching the waves and surfers. Just wondering though....how did you avoid the sweep of the light from the lighthouse especially given the length of exposure? Also on the East Passage side of the park (southern end of parking lot closest to lighthouse) you can find carved stone from the 1800's shipwreck of the SS Payton. At low tide and light could be another photo opp.

Sounds like a lot of thought and effort went into making this image. Very compelling image that has a real feel of time and place to it. Captures the eye and has a very peaceful feel to it. Good show, good job.
