From March 1990, Chet Atkins presents "The World's Most Famous Unknown Band" in a salute to Ralph Emery, and that band is: Glen Campbell, Jerry Reed, Steve Wariner, Roy Clark, Ray Stevens, Ricky Skaggs, Lee Greenwood, Steve Gatlin, Barbara Mandrell, and Irlene Mandrell.

Thanks so much for posting. Reminds me of the Million dollar band that was occasionally on Hee Haw. Roy Clark, Boots Randolph, I think Chet Atkins, and a couple of others. Anybody remember?

Or the Sun Records studio shot of the "Million Dollar Quartet" = Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash just messing around when they all happened to be at the studio at the same time. Someone turned on a recorder as it became a Jam and they kept playing, singing etc and recordings of it are available. Not the greatest quality since it apparently wasn't planned or the mics set up for it ahead of time but interesting and some very good stuff on it.

I'd say the worlds most famous unknown band, a band Glen Campbell played in, was the Wrecking Crew.
