Thanks for the comment Curmudgeon. I'm thinking you are suggesting cloning out the blurry airborne birds that look like dust spots on my sensor. They are so common in my shots on these refuges that I don't always notice them. I did just notice the irony of wishing for clear winter air in my narrative and posting a photo that used smoke flavored light. Do you remember agricultural burns (mostly rice farmers burning stubble after harvest) in the N Sacramento valley during your time here?
