My 5DMIV decided it wanted to take a 28" drop from a table onto commercial carpet, with my 150 to 600 Tamron attached.. Aint good when everything is HEAVY. Still awaiting the outcome.
Took it to KURT'S camera in San Diego since I live an hour away ish. So far it's 98 dollars labor and what ever the EF mount ring cost. It bent right at the two top screws, hopefully by the will of the camera gods, it didn't strip at the mirror housing!
Now I'm trying to set up my 40D to the same same standard. .UMMM not when your 20million mps short... Anywho, rockin' the 40D
Finely, someone taking responsibility for her/his own actions. I salute you. That lens looks pretty good.
Thanks Curmudgeon, just hoping the damage is minimal. Still have to send the lens back to Tamron also. It kinda tweaked the EF mount a bit.....
