Dear UHHers,

I have been charged with developing a slide show for a virtual fund raising event that will pay tribute to some individuals of note in the organization. I will be building the slideshow in Powerpoint for a Powerpoint Show.

I need a background that I can use for the slides that would be appropriate for such a somber theme. The standard backgrounds available in Powerpoint and those I've found online for use in Powerpoint are all too bright and not fitting with the theme (most are for business/marketing application). I believe a graphic image rather than a pictorial image would work best.

If anyone can suggest a source for such imagery I would appreciate it.

Depends on the organization and occasion: I've downloaded an elaborate stage that implies great respect. I've also googled texture. There are dozens of choices.

How about a picture of your organization's logo, or the building in which you meet? Print it as a half-tone.

How about closeups of fireworks? There are so many variations of those it would not look so static as a single photo or two. A photo of the crescendo at the end of a fireworks show could tie in with the ending of the presentation. I do a lot of fireworks photos and if you would like I could send you 20 to 30 shots that could be used.
