Worldometers.info reports the US currently has 6,488,728 c****av***s cases, 193,598 deaths and as of January 1, 2021, a projected death toll of 410,451.
To an outsider, it appears it’s politics over science in the US.
From news coverage, it seems the focus is more on what politicians want and less on important things like bringing this v***s under control in the US. Things need to change if that January 1st projection is going to be reduced. And, I wouldn’t be relying on a promised v*****e that may or may not be available or reliable.
The families and friends of those with C****-** or deceased because of it deserve more than empty words.
Don't jump to uninformed conclusions. According to the CDC, of all the US deaths attributed to c****av***s, less than 10,000 were people truly k**led by c****av***s. All but those 9,000 plus were people who already had some other serious disease that causes death well before they got c****av***s! Doctors have been told to attribute any death to the c****av***s if it is believed present (because the government pays a much higher hospital charge for that). It's like blaming the death of a lifetime heavy smoker with metasticized final stage lung cancer on c****av***s because his C****-** test happened to give a false positive.

I think the CDC, Dr F***i, and others explained that this information was misinterpreted and misrepresented. Intentionally? The death toll as a result of C****-** is as stated, over 193,000. And does it matter if a person was “truly k**led by c****av***s” or died as a result of complications caused by the v***s. They’re still dead, right?

The claim that hospitals get more money for C***d deaths is BS. My son is president of a local hospital. They are taking a huge financial hit by not bring able to do “elective” surgeries. He is taking a 40% pay cut.
Plus hospitals do not determine cause of death.
Looking at 2020 deaths vs. 2019 is unaffected by “cause of death” determinations. Look at % of expected.
https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/C***D19/index.htmThe drop in recent weeks suggests that many of the “excess” deaths may have been a few months acceleration of deaths that would have happened this year anyway. It will be interesting to see. (Might be reporting delay as footnoted).
Doing this for other countries show many severely undercounting c***d deaths.

Thousands die each year of cancer from smoking, and there is no 'lead story about smoking fear' broadcast on TV and radio every hour, so maybe it's time to get t***h and sensibility.

So - let me get this straight - you are saying that if you have diabetes but die in a car accident, we should say that the cause of death is diabetes? OK. makes a lot of sense.....not. The cause of death is the CAUSE OF DEATH. Certainly - as has been said from the beginning, those with underlying health conditions have a higher chance of death with this infection. The data about the 9,000 was published to emphasize that it IS possible to die from this even if you have no underlying health conditions.

The vast majority of the decisions made by the US in regards to handling it's response to C***d have been directed by none other than Dr Anthony F***i. Maybe Trump shouldn't have listened to him?

I doubt that Dr. F***i has any direct responsibility in the management of PPE, use of DPA or pushing the supplies procurement responsibility to the states to compete against each other for scarce resources.
