I was able to get out again and also had most of the settings correct, only one left and that is BBF. All photos were taken on a tripod with the Canon 5D R and Canon 100-400mm Vii with the Canon 1.4 adapter Viii which equates to 560mm. All details will be with each photo and ALL C&C is welcome. As far as BBF goes I have read some videos but need to do additional research. Thanks for stopping by.

CLF: Wonderful images! Thank you so much for setting forth the specifics, camera, lens, etc. That shows me what that camera/lens combination is capable of in the hands of an expert photographer. Davidb1879.

David, I appreciate your comments. However I am far from an expert. I have used a camera since the 66s-70s I am just an avid amature.

Thank you, Sundar. It is getting easier each day I use it. Your comments, smiley and two thumbs up are appreciated.

Super shots of your beautiful birdies, Greg!! I use the same combination and am well pleased with the results. Much better detail imo than the 600mm lens I was using. I won't mention the brand, but you probably know which one I'm talking about. After I sent the 600 to the company for servicing, results were consistently soft.

Donna, I am still experimenting with different lens combinations. I have yet to try my 300mm Canon prime with the 2x. I do like having the ability to use the different lenths the zoom function gives me. So far my Tamron 150-600mm does a good to great job but the combo I used with this post is slightly better. Thank you for your critique. I will continue to try out different combinations which is a whole lot of fun in itself.

Outstanding images Greg. Looks like your new Camera is winner
Another great set Gary with that new camera body. Glad to see you're getting out. I've had trouble spending 3-4 hours out in this heat. Supposed to cool down now. Your experimenting with lens/body combos is really paying off with some great shots.

Jack, thank you for your comments and so far I really like the new camera. I am still on a learning curve and will be for a couple of months.

Thank you, Doc. The cooler weather and lower humidity is really a helping me out. Like I told Donna, I am having a lot of fun learning hich lens or set of lenses is best and for what kind of photography.

Great shots Greg!
Thank you, Gary. Like I have said in the other posts, I am having a whole lot of fun working with a new body and format. None of my other cameras were set up like the 5Dxx series is.

Sylvia, thank you for your comments smiley and thumb up. I am enjoying the camera but am also a little frustrated with all the new controls. The learning process can be frustrating.
