Late this afternoon my wife spotted a Cooper's Hawk. First it was on a bird bath which I shot through the glass door. Then I went out and it flew to a low branch of a nearby tree and I got a few shots. Since it was late and the trees blocked most of the light, the ISO is higher than I would like.

Thanks Mike - luckily, I had the camera in the kitchen and not in my car.

He is Beautiful and nicely captured. #1 has the best lighting, but 2 & 3 are wonderful shots.

Great captures Elliott. My experience with Cooper's Hawks is when they have one leg tucked up they are relaxed and not in a hunting mode.

Glad he got on a limb for you instead of flying away.
