Didn't see the killing bite but heard the ruckus and caught these. One crushing bite to the head and it was all over. Then the bigger guy started towing lunch down the canal by it's head before changing to the left front leg.
Pretty interesting day!

Yes, but I was actually standing right over him on the dike above the water. Had to zoom out to minimum to get anything in the frame. He was only about four feet away but I didn't think he would give up that prize just to tangle with me.

Yep, really interesting and different. Couldn't help but feel sorry for the little one. That kind of thing happens all over the world thousands of times all day, every day. Kind of depressing really, when you think about it.
