I don't know popular this newspaper is in the military.

I do know that they often publish things that do not shed the golden light upon Dear Leader.

Big surprise he should want it shut down.

this newspaper goes back to the Civil war. when I was in the Army and over seas we got it once a week. It was the only American newspaper except ones that were sent to us from home. So for m most of us it was the only news we got.

Trump's want to shut down the Stars and Stripes has been in the news before. Months ago, my brother sent me an article concerning Trump's disapproval of the paper.

When I was in its all there was available so we read it.

StarsandStripes.com has on its front page that Trump wants to keep it going. Whether its in his crosshairs to do away with it looks unlikely.
