Always fascinated with the dash & instrument panels of these classic cars. Anyone else like them? BTW, this is the first year Pontiac featured a V8 engine....
Someone's done a bit of work on this one. The '55s didn't come with a 4 speed, only three on the tree (or Hydramatic) and the brake/clutch pedals were through the floorboard, not suspended.
That said, and having had a 55 Bel Air, the 55 Pontiac would be my second choice.
Any more pictures of this one?
My 55 Pontiac, sort of a green and pale green two-tone, hydro, did not look like this one. Sure could run.
I have always loved the old dashes. And the horn ring. Can never find the horn on my present car.
I became a teenager in 1955 and have many memories of the cars from that era. Nice shot.
My first car was a 1953 Chevy :)
