In a 'carpe diem' moment at the beginning of January, I seized a last minute bargain beachfront apartment on Barbados. We had a wonderful time. Very friendly people, good food and great weather. I only brought my new-to-me used Sony RX100iii since we were travelling with carry on bags only, . The first shot is the view from our balcony. The last shot was taken moments before I slipped and fell into a waist deep pool of water. RX100iii is R.I.P. but I rescued the card.
While we were in Barbados we started to hear new reports about some mysterious virus in Wuhan, China. Little did we know what lay ahead and that it would be our last trip for the foreseeable future.
Nothing spectacular about the pics - it wasn't a photo trip - but in these travel famished days I thought I would share. Feel free to add your photos or reminiscences of Barbados.

What a lovely place....sorry about you camera but at least the card survived as did your images....nice work.
WOW!! Thanks everyone for your kind responses and sympathies. I wasn't expecting that. Yes, Retired CPO, an Olympus TG-? will be my next pocket camera purchase.
I should have mentioned that during one of the spectacular sunsets from our balcony, we saw the famous 'green flash'. It only lasts a split second just as the final piece of the sun drops below the horizon. I tried to capture it but missed it between shots.
Great shots Phil. Love the pink church and the last one. Sorry to hear about the camera.

Great DLs, Phil, thanks for sharing. Sorry for the camera, at least, it left you some good memories!
Sorry to hear about your camera. But it doesn't matter what kind of camera you're using, you have to see the image first in your mind's eye, then apply your camera skills to make it happen. Very nice job with choice of subjects, composition and colors. All the images capture the eye, but I especially like the floral images. Look forward to seeing more regardless of the camera that produces them.
