Walking along the NYC West Side's HighLine, I got a unique perspective on viewing & shooting the Empire State Building.
It was fm much higher up than fm in the street; & I was able to get the foliage along the pathway up close & incorporate it into the foreground of the picture. I liked the sky,t& the play of light/dark in the tonal range. The rest of the scene was a nice citysc0ape, w/diff. shapes & textures. Captured on a Nikon D500 & Tamron 18-400 @ 46mm
Enjoy!

I googled West Side's HighLine? Very interesting stops. Thanks for sharing
As someone who lived most of his life on Long Island, I am enjoying the picture! :D
It's not the everyday shot of the ESB -- quite unique, I would say!

I was mentioning where it is, on the West Side, not the name. The website is thehighline.org - glad you found the shot interesting.
Glad you enjoyed it. The uniqueness is why I took it, yellow flowers peaking up outtof the foreground vs. ESB, love the conceptual contrast! They are opening up more of the path. Now it is 14th St. - 23rd St. They'll soon be opening it to 30th St. I hope it'll be just as interesting… Prev. I shot fm 34th St & North. Great views & pix of the water & interesting bldgs!
