We were hoping she would have come a little further West in hopes she would share a little rain on us. It’s been very dry here the last 2 months🙁😤

Last Saturday I was finally able to get my hands on the long back-ordered Nikon 24-200 Z lens! Haven't done any really serious shooting with it as yet but here are some early shots - it's going to be a good replacement for my much used Tamron 35-150 (Liam's going to be a happy camper! )

Pg 1 - Congrats on the new lens, Sue. Looks
to me like you're off to a good start with it!

And absolutely no doubt Liam will love his
new Tamron!

be tempted to explore that area...lol

We replaced the oak counter with walnut plywood stained with a walnut finish. The cabinets aren't new but have been painted and the hardware replaced. I'm very happy with the way it all turned out.

When we built our home in 1987, we had three
crabapple trees planted in the front yard.

They are absolutely gorgeous for two or three
weeks in spring when they blossom, but by mid
August the leaves start turning brown, and by
the end of September, the leaves are history.

This July and August has been extremely dry
in our area, so the trees "browned up" early
and lost most of their leaves already, so imagine
my surprise when while securing furniture, etc.
because of an approaching storm I noticed all
three trees are in blossom...again!

My brain is fried with cleaning up in mid 90's temp this week.
And playing phone tag with contractors and insurance!!

What a mess is right! So sorry you have to
go through all this Bob! I know we should
always be thankful that no one got hurt, etc.,
but, frankly, I for one am getting too old to
handle this type of trauma anymore.

Best wishes, and hang in there, my friend!
