Noisy pic and blurred even with an external flash

The noise isn't bad enough to bother me but I ran it through the newest (update yesterday) version of Topaz Denoise AI.

Do you like this better? As to the background, well masking off the subjects and changing that is something else.

High ISO makes for a noisy picture. You'll have camera movement at 1/20sec, plus you have no flash. Don't know how dark the area was, but you could try using an ISO around 800 to cut noise. Shoot at least 1/60 sec. Try shooting in aperture mode. BTW, I have the 80D and use an external flash. Never in auto(green zone).

Aperture mode would have the shutter speed way slow. To force it faster, it would have to be in Shutter preferred or manual modes.
