Anyone use Vivid-Pix Restore? One what kind of computer and what OS. Its website vivid-pix.com and $50.
I use Vivid-Pix Restore frequently. I have the Windows version, but they also have a Mac version, and I do know users who use it on the Mac. Where I use it is on scans of faded or color shifted slides and negatives, to quickly and easily restore contrast and color, without resorting to levels and curves in Photoshop. I have not tried it on photos shot via digital cameras, except those I use as scans of other photos. It works well, and I'm quite happy with the results. I would be happy to post a sample of my results, if you wish.
I think it only processes JPEG, check it.
Email message from Vivid-Pix:
Thank you for your interest in our Vivid-Pix software. We appreciate it!
At this time, our software runs on both Windows and Mac Operating Systems. (Windows 8, 8.1, and 10 and Mac 10.7 and later).
As for iOS, we don't currently offer an iOS (iPad, iPhone) or Android product. We removed our mobile app from the Apple iTunes store because of the need for constant updating of the software - we’ll be back! Our intention is to create new iOS and Android products, but due to the limited resources available to our small company, we've placed that effort on the "back burner."
Though we don't currently have a release date, we are excited about the opportunity to create a mobile version of RESTORE and SCUBA. A mobile platform provides the opportunity to add features that are not practical on the desktop. We look forward to serving our customers with both iOS and Android offerings.
If you need anything else, please let us know.
Thank you.
