I believe this to be an Eastern Tent Caterpillar Moth Malacosoma americanum due to its very hairy legs and lion like mane although I may be totally wrong so if there is anyone that may have a different idea, please pass it along.
Moths are quite easy to catch right now by simply turning on the porch light and checking it and around it from time to time. I get a lot of the same characters so I look for ones that appear to be different in some way and this ones furry front feet and mane caught my attention.
This is a focus stacked image staged and taken at 5X magnification with a sample blue colored paint swatch set behind it to create the background.
