Several years ago while attending a meeting in San Francisco, the cable car was taken to Fisherman's Wharf. I truly believe this bird posed for me to take this picture. As I was aiming the camera, it turned and looked at me and kept the pose for several minutes after the photo was taken. Guess it really wanted to make sure I got the picture of its hurt foot. Have been fortunate to visit SF many times. Usually buy a multi-day pass for the various public transportations.

We see adult birds with healed broken feet and legs several times a year. Always amazing to consider how the adult has survived and learned to compensate.
