remote for Panasonic GH2

Has anyone had any success with a wireless remote for a Panasonic GH2, specifically with a Pluto remote trigger? The remote receiver appears to fire but camera shutter does nothing. I've tried all settings I can think of. I'm a definite "newbie" so any help much appreciated.

Can't help you with your specific question regarding the Pluto trigger... but Welcome to UHH.

Thanks for reply. I already purchased a Pluto wireless remote with correct cable. For whatever reason it just won't fire the GH2. I'm beginning to think I just have a bad port on the camera itself. The receiver appears to fire when called upon. It's just that nothing happens to the camera itself. I have a friend that has a Panasonic GH7 or 9. He's on vacation so when he returns I thought I attach Pluto to his camera and see what happens. I just registered on this site but have been reading the published articles almost daily for sometime. You folks are unbelievable with great info. Thanks

The GH4 and GH5 can be triggered from smartphones with an app from Panasonic. They also include really versatile intervalometers...

The GH2 was great in its day, but that was a decade ago.

There is a G7 or G9, but not a GH7. I'm still waiting on the GH6!

I'm not sure the G7 or G9 work with the Pluto.

I don’t know about the Pluto but my G9 works with the MIOPS trigger. It uses a standard Lumix remote cable.

Did you install your SD card? My GX8 with remote doesn't work without the card installed.

Thanks. I'll keep it in mind. I've sent for another cable and am going to try it on an older Nikon D70s I have. If all else fails I'm betting that a new Nikon D500 with the 2 to 5 lens would solve all my problems. *wink*wink*
