On the west side of Waseca is this small lake, a little more than 7 acres in size. They call it Loon lake.
Tonight is is peaceful and calm in the waning daylight. Heavy clouds on the horizon blocked the beauty of the sun, but not the beautiful image of the water.
It was enjoyable to watch the evening light settle in while the birds came home to roost. At my back is a decent sized island that serves as home to hundreds of birds of all kinds. Ducks, geese, loons, buzzards, egrets and cormorants all bed down for the night safely away from predators.
