The hazards of being under the flight path from Las Vegas to Los Angeles.
While shooting the Bode and Cigar Galaxies, a 737 flew right into my vies and left his tracks behind. Using my RC 8 and my CEM 40 mount, I was tracking the two galaxies when this 737 flew through. Now you may be asking yourself, "how does he know that the aircraft was a 737?". Simple by the process of elimination since Southwest has the most flights between LAS and LAX, it would seem logical that the aircraft was Southwest and they only fly Boeing 737s. I rest my case. But all is not lost, I shot the North America Nebula and the Veil Nebula on succeeding nights from my driveway in Las Vegas--seems like Bortle 10 here!!! Only about two dozen stars are visible and that is an optimistic count!!! RFB

don't care if it's a 737 from Southwest or something from Russia or beyond #1 is a cool photo. 2 & 3 are examples of your astrophotograpy skills - far beyond mine by about a parallax of 0.2 Arc Seconds

Looks Great, Bill!
Yep. Nothing like some man made junk to mess up a guys images.
When shooting with my Infinity camera I have a chance to delete a sub in between the individual takes. But I have to be on the ball to catch them, staring at the screen.
It's my only way to dump planes or satellites.
Ahh, such is the life of AP. I tell myself there will be another night....

Looks like a Piper Cub to me.

Nice shots even if the 737 added some unwanted trails. Seems a few of my subframes always get a satellite trail or two anymore (usually I can subtract them out with stacking).
Thanks Ballard. This was one in a series of subs. I just thought I would keep it just because of its uniqueness. Satellites are many, but an a/s across the frame, that's different. RFB
Thanks Sonny, I have been watching your stuff and you have nothing to be ashamed with. Yours is great!

Thank You, Bill!
My learning curve had so many boulders rolling down it, I learned how to adapt.
I did not think I would ever get going, then a very good Friend loaned me a OSC Infinity camera.
That completely changed everything for me for the better. And I discovered I wasn't far off with my guiding.
He sold me the Atik Infinity.
Since my AVX died for it's last time, I've gotten a great mount to replace it, and things keep getting better and better.
This whole thing is one big learning curve for me. But I really enjoy the challenge of it.
I guess I'm a glutton for punishment.

Amazing how those overhead planes can zero in on your target so accurately! They must be able to detect what you are aimed at. I live in the landing approach for San Jose's airport. I feel your pain.
