I think it works great. It can be installed as a plug-in on both LR and Photoshop. Don’t know if there is an iPad version. I recommend the Joel Wolfson tutorial available on the Topaz site.

When you say "free," do you mean the trial version? If not, could you provide a link to the free version?

I could be wrong but I do not know of a software called Topaz AI. Topaz Labs is using AI in some of their most popular softwares like Adjust, Denoise, Clear and Sharpen.

Sharpen AI is said to improve blur in many images. In my case if the image is blurred it goes to the trash bin. I use often Adjust AI and Denoise AI and AI Clear is incorporated into Denoise. Many times that is what I use at low settings to improve sharpness in my editing files.
Topaz has gained a good reputation as a software developer.

I've used the Topaz since Topaz Denoise 6, before they incorporated AI. Some of their products work very well. I would highly recommend them, especially denoiseAI, sharpenAI and maskAI.

However,...the last I checked, as of Aug 31, they're going to get much more expensive. If you've purchased one application, the annual maintenance fee will be an additional $50/yr. If you've purchased two or more apps, the annual maintenance fee will be an additional $100/yr. Without maintenance, you won't get any updates to the software. I don't know if customer support is included in or separate from the maintenance fee.

While I highly recommend their products, you'll have to decide it the total expense is worth it.

I'm trying Topaz Sharpen AI and am disappointed. Was advised only works with latest IOS !
With my High Sierra 10.13.6 the sharpening creates artifacts like sharp crystal grains...ugly !

Hmmm,,, I'm also running High Sierra 10.13.6 but haven't experienced the artifacts you described. Their website states their mac operating system requirements are 10.12 (Sierra) and above.

Any sharpening will cause those kinds of artifacts if you over do it. I use Denoise AI and Sharpen AI and they both work great.
