It is indeed a wonder, photographed nicely here. You are lucky, Kathy, to be able to visit so often. I have only been once, but the memory of it will long endure, alzheimers permitting.

Beauties! I have been to the south rim several times with our Phoenix relatives, and once to the north rim on our own. Both are beautiful, but if I ever go back, it will be to the majesty of the north rim.

A great set! We did the South Rim when we were there and wish we could have done the North rim as well.

Very nice set, Kathy. I've been there only a few times but it is one of my favorites, as well.

I love the Grand Canyon. I've been to the bottom. I've hiked its trails and its rims. I've seen it in sunshine and in rain, in summer and in winter. I particularly like the North Rim. Being smaller, it's a much more intimate view, and there aren't the vast crowds. So, I'm presenting a few of my favorite views of this wonderful place in hopes you enjoy them also. As always, your comments are coveted.

Kathy, excellent set and thank you for taking me along your visit. I have flown over the Grand Canyon on business an even at 30,000 feet it is awesome. Thanks again for an excellent set.

Big family(s) reunion, @ 35 years ago. Lotsa folk. I convinced the "leader" to go North.
We went to Moab. The traffic light in the center was called "The Light" back then.
In WW2 the menfolk went to war, or to factories, and the women ran the town. They found so much corruption they wouldn't let the men run things after they got back.
There was an underground speakeasy dug into a cave on a curve.
Could have bought a place then- there was a "surge", folk leaving, and prices way dropped.
10 years later they doubled. 15 years after that they added another "0"
Did the impromptu "Mormon" tour. Lotsa sheep, cattle and cheese in the day. Pretty ranches.
Women complained. No shopping! Us guys ... "What's thataways?" and off we'd go.
We say the "Gunsmoke" set- it was getting pretty bad then.
ALWAYS something to see in America.

And the Canyon is one of those "don't miss it" places.

Living within a few hours' drive is certainly a plus. I think about moving to other places, but my response is always, "it's too far from the Canyon."

The North Rim is so different. I do like that "grand view" from the South Rim, but not all the people. The North Rim is much less commercial and more "real."

Thanks. If you're coming from far away, it's pretty hard to do both Rims in one trip. It's more than just an extra day. I hope you get there some day. (Make reservations a LONG time in advance.)
