Old Sturbridge Village

This interactive village is recreated from the mid-1800s with original buildings, tools and machines from many towns in New England. The dress is authentic as are the skilled crafts and craftspeople. Lighting is a challenge with dark interiors. Let's hear it for higher ISO! I'm curious to hear what you think. Shot with my Olympus Mark5 III and the 14-150 II lens. As always, best in download!

All winners for me!

#1 is very engaging for the toning (natural or pp?) and the composition - all that disorganized "stuff" filling the frame! The light in #2 is gorgeous and the intensity of the worker - wow! The textures and shadows in #3 are very enjoyable as is the composition and choice of b&w. And the last image... priceless - sure to become iconic.

Dare I point out that you posted this to main discussion forum? 🤭

#1 is indeed post processing.. I was on my way to converting to BW using the saturation sliders when this effect showed up. I was surprised and pleased with it and thought it told the story better.

You do dare! Oops! Is there a way to change to photo gallery at this point? Thank you for your comments, I always appreciate them.

Admin moved your topic to Photo Gallery not long after I commented in your thread yesterday (you should have received a private message notice)

I love the happy surprises that can happen when post-processing. That's one reason I'm still enthralled with textures and layer blend modes after several years of experimenting.
