The following shots are of one of the mares, the chestnut, of which I posted a portrait the other day. The bright, early morning sun presented some contrast challenges. The other challenge was getting her to pose. She was a little distracted and fussy at times.

Again, the images will probably be submitted as thumbnails to a sales site, so I think these will work for that. The portrait shots are included here as artistic versions rather than images suitable for advertising. I liked the top lighting in the last shot though the pose is not what we'd normally look for in a good portrait - she looks tired and disinterested. Maybe that tells the story.

Taking the advice from the last post, I eliminated the lead line when possible.

Although they are all good, the last two are best and the first 3 are taken on a paved road and for me it takes something away from a natural setting for a horse.

Does anyone NOT like your horse shots? That's a big "Neigh" (or is it "Nay?)

When I was 50 years younger I worked on an Arabian horse farm. There was one photographer who traveled the country simply photographing Arabian horses. She mad an absolute fortune! Pretty much a monopoly in that area of photography.
