The model was great. The day was crappy, on the verge of rain. To nail this action I shot it at F8 at 1/2000 sec. on Auto ISO. The light was so bad that the ISO turned out to be 4500. Consequently the dynamic range and image quality was not real good. I used a lot of Photoshop tricks to bring it around but It still looks on the dull side. Oh, well, not as exuberant as I envisioned.

I like it too. It has enough contrast to be good.

I can't put my finger on it but to me the color lacks life. Saturating it doesn't help. I should take this one to black and white.

I really like the color photo though I wonder how it would look with a bokeh background.
She looks like she's floating above the water.

I like it, it looks like a not overly forced photo, more natural.

Thanks everyone. Comments are always welcomed.

OK, I had said I wasn't quite happy with the color and contrast of the original shown. After working on it quite a bit, I tried a Photoshop trick that worked a little to my liking.

I put the Black & White I had just made on a layer above the original color shot in Photoshop and used Luminosity as the blending mode of the Black & White and it resulted in spanking up the original a little.

Notice the contrast between the water and skin in each. That subtlety was added to the skin tones inside the body too although very subtly.

Great shot - of the color versions I like the original best, it seems a touch brighter than the blended version. But I think I like the B&W version the best - her foreground image jumps out at me. It's almost as if she was lit by a ray of sunlight in an otherwise dull environment.

Great image!!! The you Lady is anything but dull!!!
The only thing that looks dull to me is the sky and the water, except for the splashing water.

This is a fine example of the question of dynamic qualities. The original can be deemed static when compared with the dynamics shown in the blend.
