JustJill Loc: Iowa

This is our 3rd annual ride on the Boone And Scenic Valley Railroad in Boone IA. The difference this year with COVID is that they pulled up behind a motorcar so we had ours to ourselves. The past years, the driver rode with us.

Great shots, I have wondered how they were doing. I think their Chinese Steam locomotive is working for the Iowa and Eastern now.
I need to make time to locate the old pictures, 2005, and the caboose moving from their yard.

I would love to see the pictures. We are familiar with that locomotive. My husband has a steam whistle that we donated to the Boone and they put it on that locomotive. This picture is of my husband. We also got to sit in the cab and he got to blow his whistle. We could have taken a ride in the engine, but it gets too hot, so instead we got to ride in the caboose behind the engine that is usually for staff only. That was a great ride.
