I've lived in Naples, FL for nearly 5 years and, strangely enough, haven't found a store in SWFL which sells equipment on a retail basis. Adorama and B&H Photo have great stuff but mail ordering thru them can be challenging at times. Any ideas welcome!
Thx

I have lived in Sarasota FL for more than 20 years and never found a camera store that I could rely on; Ritz and Wolf Camera survived for a while but went out of business several years ago. By the way, I don't share your opinion about mail ordering from Adorama and B&H being challenging; these as well as Amazon are probably the best in the business and highly reputable and honest. Online ordering could not be more simple and easy. My 2 cents.

Consider calling and chatting with a person from B&H to get your questions answered. I have been doing business with them for over 30 years. They are superb.

Orlando is a fairly long drive from the Sarasota area.

If you want to walk into a camera store, you must go to a camera store.

going at the right time of the bird season: a visit to colonial, gatorland and apopka trail would be a great trip

I, too, live in Naples. I frequently order from B&H and Hunt's, having no problems. However, Collier County has a huge photo club DPI-Sig (https://dpi-sig.org/ ). Sonny Saunders leads it and does a superb job. You might want to contact them.

Have been in your area for many years and lost the last camera store about 5 years ago. It was a Ritz Camera located in Coconut Point Mall. You are at least a 1 1/2 Hr drive from any camera store, unless you want to use Best Buy. So get used to buying on line. B & H, Adorama, and Amazon are my sources now. Sorry the news is not better.

If you come to Miami on a regular basis perhaps you could be interested in Pitman Photo. The employees are highly professional and the prices very reasonable.
I have dealt with Adorama and B&H several times in the past and never an issue. They are reliable and have an excellent service.

Marshall Photo in Auburndale Fl. While you are there it's only a couple of miles from Circle B fantastic spot to shoot wildlife. Excellent photo store!
