And a Pink Carnation. Should never allow and old man to sit on his deck at dusk with a camera.

I really love that Carnation and the song as well....thanks Little Red
When your memory stick gets close to full let me know and I'll send you a new one so you will keep taking those old man pictures and you can take them at sunrise to
That song sure does bring back a lot of good memories. It was one that was played at our senior prom. Several of my friends wore a white sport coat but didn't dare wear a pink carnation. Those were good times and we didn't even know it

What a beautiful picture. It reminds this "Old Man" of days gone by and a beautiful old song. Thanks for sharing.
Wonderful shot that should be viewed in DDL. I went to my Senior Prom wearing a white dinner jacket and a pink carnation. Marty Robbins. "I was country when country wasn't cool."
This is gorgeous in download.
One can never be an old man with a heart and mind like this. A beautiful romance can pursue a man in a white sport coat with a pink carnation. A wonderful tune which brings back many fond memories. Also a beautiful photograph. Mahalo for sharing.
Beautiful shot and great memories, Ron, thanks!

Old men have time to look at the world through very different eyes.
Beautiful vision.

The lyric you quoted, was from Barbara Mandrell's #1 1981 hit.
Many of us here were country long before we knew what cool was.
'A White Sport Coat' by Marty Robbins was 24 years earlier. It was 1957's #2 hit.
Here is a trip down memory lane for you.
6 months previous to Marty's hit, Guy Mitchell's #1 hit,
Singing The Blues was still playing.
